It was inspiring to hear what other small business owners are doing to foster wellness — from impressive benefits packages to walking meetings to free healthy snacks in the break room and much more. Our Founder & CEO Jill Nelson shared a little about what we’re doing to make Ruby the #1 Best Company to Work for in the U.S. — right here out of Oregon’s first district. She shared our generous maternity and paternity leave as well as our “Five at Five” paid sabbatical program, which offers employees the flexibility and resources to pursue a dream that they may not have otherwise been able to accomplish.
Bakery-owners, nonprofits, and industrial manufacturers attended the event, and it was heartwarming to see that no matter the industry, we all agree: Happy and healthy employees make for a happy business!
